POSITION SUMMARY

Roofer performs skilled work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on buildings and structures. This position ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract specifications, company standards, and applicable codes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• One- year certificate from college or technical school License desired, may be substituted with an additional year of experience.
• Two years of roofing experience
• Experienced in all commercial building and construction safety and code compliance.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periods.
• Must have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in personal protective clothing and equipment, such as coveralls, safety glasses, and gloves.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This role requires work in office setting and in non-office settings such as machinery rooms, electrical distribution centers, server rooms, and industrial locations.
• Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
• Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Requires wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.
• Work hazards include electrical shock, confined spaces, and noise hazards.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Position will require rotating on-call ability within the department.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
• Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Must be proficient with the English Language per contract.
