The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (CTDOT), is now accepting applications for a Transportation Engineer 3 (Engineering), Asset Management Liaison position within the Project Controls Unit in the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, at our Headquarters in Newington, CT.
THE ROLE:
This position functions as the Asset Management Liaison for bridges, sign supports, retaining walls, drainage culverts, noise walls and fleet assets. The role is responsible for the development, coordination and oversight of the inventory, condition assessment, lifecycle management, risk management, financial planning and investment strategy components of the Asset Management Plan for the assigned asset classes. This position assists with quadrennial updates to the Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP) and annual submissions of TAMP Consistency Documentation.
This position is responsible for preparing and providing monthly and annual reports related to assets, projects, and financial performance. This position also monitors asset project placeholders within the Capital Program and evaluates the impacts of these projects against forecasted asset performance metrics.
This position is also the main contact for Emergency Relief (ER) funds for natural disasters as well as meeting Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations Part 667 evaluation reports on the summary of assets repeatedly damaged by emergency events.

Hybrid (in-office/telework) and alternate work schedules may be available
