The NORTHERN DISTRICT OF INDIANA FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEFENDERS,
INC. [hereinafter: “NDIFCD”], is accepting applications for the position of assistant federal defender in the South Bend Division of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Requirements. An assistant federal defender in the NDIFCD must be: (1) a graduate of an accredited law school and admitted to practice in good standing before the highest court of a state; (2) licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. In the letter of interest, the applicant should disclose if he or she has been reprimanded (publicly or privately) or suspended from the practice of law by any jurisdiction.

Duties. To represent clients charged with federal criminal offenses and ancillary matters in the district court.

Salary. Will be based on qualifications and experience.
