Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Surgical Technician (CVOR) Hartford, Connecticut. The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician to support Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) activities, including open heart procedures and complex cardiovascular cases. Candidates will assist with surgical procedures and maintain a safe, efficient perioperative environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, consisting of 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour shifts; on-call obligation required for covering week nights from 7:00 PM7:00 AM and weekend days from 7:00 AM7:00 PM and/or nights from 7:00 PM7:00 AM.
- Required Qualifications: Surgical Technologist certification; ability to support open heart and CVOR surgical cases; licensure required to be presented on the first day.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in open heart procedures, including open heart coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic and mitral valve surgeries, and aortic aneurysm repair and endovascular cases; experience with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) cannulation and cardioplegia; experience with pacers/defibrillators, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), left ventricular assist device (LVAD), and Impella insertion; experience with endovascular and open complex vascular cases; familiarity with common CVOR procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacements, heart transplants, aortic artery repairs, vascular bypass, endarterectomies, and endovascular cardiac surgeries.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be submitted only after being identified as qualified by submitting to the order, then uploading the file under Submission Packet.
