Job Summary: Operating Room (Open Heart) Surgical Technician Phoenix, Arizona
The Surgical Technician for the Operating Room (Open Heart) provides technical support to ensure supplies and equipment are available and maintains a sterile field during operating procedures. This role requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and experience in a surgical setting, including pediatric Operating Room experience. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evenings (12002030) with on-call coverage on weekends and potentially weekday nights; minimum 40.0 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Surgical Technician program or equivalent 1:1 combination of post-secondary education and experience; 2 or more Surgical Technician experience in a surgery setting; 2 or more years of pediatric Operating Room experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

- Additional Information: Vaccination requirements include flu vaccination required October through April; COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Individuals not vaccinated for either flu or COVID-19 must sign declination and masking protocol agreements and must mask during the respiratory virus season.
