Job Summary:
The Cytologist (CT / Laboratory) position is located in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves working primarily alone in a laboratory setting, performing cytotechnology procedures in accordance with the facilitys protocols. The candidate must possess a valid CT (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification and bring their license on the first day. The position requires working weekdays with scheduled hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Candidates should be prepared to begin on June 21, 2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid CT (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification, minimum of 1 year of cytotechnology experience, at least 2 prior travel assignments, must bring license on first day
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working independently, proficiency with EMRs such as Epic, experience with Thinprep Pap Test, Surepath Pap Test, Hologic Genius System, and EMR systems
- Additional Information:
- Biweekly pay, includes 16 hours of non-billable orientation
- No return to office (RTO) for blackout dates in August and most of July
- Must adhere to scheduled orientation and assignment start date
- No float requirement
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
- Submission requirements include credentials due Thursday before the start date
