Job Summary:
The EEG Technologist Registered (EEG R) position is based in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized electroencephalogram (EEG) services within a hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment. The position offers a schedule of 12-hour shifts with a guarantee of 60 hours every two weeks.
Job Details:
- Locations: Anchorage, Alaska
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), R.EEGT (Registered EEG Technologist)
- Experience: 2 years of related experience
- Minimum Experience: 0 years (entry-level accepted)
- Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (submission allowed with pending license, processing time 10-12 weeks), Certifications (BLS, R.EEGT), 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, experience with Epic charting system, Hep B vaccination.
- Preferred Skills and Experience: Adult intensive care unit (ICU), ambulatory EEG, brain death assessment, electrode placement, emergency department, electromyography (EMG), Level 1 Trauma, long-term monitoring/video monitoring, neonatal ICU (NICU), pediatric ICU (PICU), portable recording, seizure studies, sleep-deprived EEG, sleep EEG, portable recording ICU, NICU, PICU.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Setting up EEG reads, communicating with neuro providers, covering inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult cases, and facilitating special procedures.
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with a need to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Call is shared among the team, including 1 night per week and 1 weekend per 4 weeks.
- Additional Information: Call sharing, guaranteed hours, and willingness to work holidays are essential. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliates.
