MRI Technologist (MRI) Janesville, WI
A MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. This role prepares and positions patients and equipment, applies magnetic resonance safety principles, and selects appropriate pulse sequences to support high-quality imaging results. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: ThursdaySaturday, 7:00 AM7:00 PM; minimum 40 hours per week. Call rotation required.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required); experience as an MRI Technologist; ARRT Radiography (registration required); ARRT MRI (registration required); Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).

- Additional Information:
- May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts, and weekends, and to work call as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned site(s).
- May be required to flex hours/shift as needed to support the needs of the department.
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested.
- Performs procedures or examinations under the order of a licensed medical practitioner for diagnostic interpretation.
- Prepares patients for procedures, provides patient instruction, verifies consent/screening forms, selects and operates the magnetic resonance system and associated equipment, and immobilizes patients as required.
- Performs venipuncture, starts and maintains venous access, prepares and administers contrast media, assists the physician with interventional procedures, and practices aseptic technique and universal precautions.
- Evaluates image/data technical quality, manipulates and reconstructs digital data for display, and ensures proper identification is evident.
- Uses radiology information systems (including PACS), completes required records and reports, archives and submits images for physician review and interpretation.
- Initiates Basic Life Support action when necessary and provides practical instruction to partners and students.
