Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurse position is located in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves working on an orthopedics unit specializing in total joint replacements. Candidates will be responsible for providing patient care within a hospital or medical center setting, demonstrating proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of Medical Surgical (MS) or Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting; Orthopedics/Rehab experience; experience with total joint replacements and braces; experience administering cardiac medication via IV/intravenous push; active Iowa (IA) license or multistate license at the time of submission; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross); EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with types of care such as total joints replacement braces; professional references from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months; valid drivers license.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). The unit requires float coverage across all campuses in the area.
