Job Summary:
The Medford, Oregon area is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room (OR) environments. This position involves supporting surgical teams across multiple specialties, with responsibilities including preparing operating rooms, handling surgical instrumentation, and assisting in various procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Position: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Shift Hours: 12 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 07/13/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS Certification and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Certificate. Candidates must possess a CST license. A minimum of 2 years of experience at a multi-operating room facility is preferred.
- Additional Information: Call is required. It averages 50 hours per month of standby call with a 15-minute response time to backup 24/7 scheduled staff. There may be floating to other units or departments as needed.
- Schedule: Days shifts.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Equipment/Systems: Experience with EPIC electronic charting system is preferred.
- Other Requirements: The candidate should be comfortable with various surgical instrumentation such as BioMet, DePuy, Synthes, Medtronic, Nuvasive, and DaVinci robotic systems.
