Job Summary: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT) Overland Park, Kansas
A Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech is needed to support inpatient surgical services within the Surgery department. Responsibilities center on preparing and supporting the operating room for procedures with a focus on robust neuro surgery experience and inpatient OR workflow. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days; shift starts at 6:45 am; 10 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Surgical technician/operating room experience in an inpatient operating room setting; robust neuro surgery experience; Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified in Surgery (CNOR) preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR preferred
- Additional Information: The role supports an operating room with 13 ORs and a robotics program featuring 3 Xi Robots. The robotics program covers colo-rectal, bariatric, general, GYN, and GU procedures. The orthopedic program emphasizes total knees and hips and complex revisions. Documentation is completed using Meditech.
