Job Summary
Surgical Technologist, Surgical Technician/Operating Room (OR) position in Atlantic, Iowa. The organization is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care by assisting the surgical team and ensuring procedures are well-prepared. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Surgical Technologist (Surgical Technician/Operating Room) training/education appropriate for the role; required license must be brought on the first day; demonstrated understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedure preparation; ability to support the RN and surgical team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting with limited direct patient care, maintaining sterile field setup and protection throughout procedures, cleaning/preparing/packaging instruments for disinfection and sterilization, supporting room turnover between cases, upholding patient safety standards and clinical competencies within scope and training, and adhering to AORN Recommended Practices and departmental policies and procedures.
