Job Summary
The organization is seeking licensed Physical Therapists specializing in Inpatient Rehabilitation at a facility located in Atlantis, Florida. The position involves providing patient care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit with a focus on orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Atlantis, Florida
- Shift: Day Shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; 1 year current hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility experience; licenses must be current and valid in the state of Florida
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; experience with Meditech electronic medical record system
- Additional Information: The unit is an inpatient rehabilitation unit with 42 beds, staffed by a team including a Director, Lead Physical Therapist, 4-5 Physical Therapists, and 5-6 Physical Therapist Assistants. Patient ratios vary based on volume, with treatments including beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. The schedule is determined by surgical volume, weekends, and holiday rotation. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, patient care-focused, team-oriented, compassionate, technologically advanced, and excellent in time management. Candidates without these skills will not be considered.
