Job Summary:
Polysomnographer in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is a travel Sleep Lab Technician position involving night shifts. The role entails collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient data to determine testing parameters, calibrating sleep lab equipment, conducting various sleep studies, and scoring sleep data. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Specialty: Polysomnographer
- Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant experience, New Mexico license, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Additional Information:
- No call required
- No floating required
- Collects, calibrates, and adjusts sleep lab equipment
- Applies electrodes and sensors
- Conducts sleep studies including Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), and oxygen titration
- Monitors and maintains data quality
- Documents sleep stages and clinical events
- Implements patient-specific therapeutic interventions
- Scores sleep data and generates reports
- Provides age-specific care and education
- Performs other duties as assigned
