Job Summary:
A Radiation Therapist position is available in Butte, Montana. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescriptions of the Radiation Oncologist. The role includes patient simulation, basic patient care, education, and treatment documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: Butte, Montana
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8 hours shift); minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program; current license in the state of practice; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Radiation Therapist (RT(T)) certifications in radiation therapy

- Additional Information: This role involves performing patient simulation, verification of prescriptions, treatment administration, and documentation of treatment parameters. The Radiation Therapist will also participate in quality initiatives, safety checks, and process improvements. Responsibilities include setup of immobilization devices, image development, patient transfer, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Skills Required: Basic patient care, prescription verification, patient simulation, patient education, administration of ionizing radiation, X-ray development, port film development, patient observation, block setup, stock level maintenance, discharge and progress documentation, treatment simulation, beam and treatment chart verification, safety hazard identification, and documentation of billing information.
