Job Summary
Radiation Therapist (RTT) Santa Fe, New Mexico. The radiation therapy role provides radiation treatment to patients as prescribed, following established practices and standards. Responsibilities include reviewing treatment prescriptions and diagnoses, preparing and maintaining radiation therapy equipment and devices, and maintaining required records and documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8AM5PM (8 hours/day), minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card
- Must have New Mexico licensure upon hire
- Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHE) and an accredited radiology program (or equivalent)
- Two to five years of clinical experience preferred (as stated)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- IMRT experience
- LDR/HDR experience
- Additional Information: Provides radiation therapy to patients as prescribed according to established practices and standards. Duties may include reviewing prescription and diagnosis; acting as a liaison between providers and support staff; preparing equipment such as immobilization devices and treatment/protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files. May assist with localization of tumor and dosimetry procedures.
