Job Summary
Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Spokane, Washington. The Sterile Processing Tech role supports safe, reliable surgical services by performing endoscope and instrument reprocessing and supporting sterile processing workflows. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift (8:00 AM4:30 PM), Monday through Friday; every third weekend (6:00 AM2:30 PM)
- Required Qualifications:
- Education/Training: Not specified
- Location: Spokane, Washington
- Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, HSPA OR CBSPDS
- Experience: 2 years of experience
- Charting/Systems: Epic (charting system name: Epic)
- Licensure: Valid Washington (WA) or compact license required at time of submission; valid allied license in hand at time of submission
- Travel Experience: Travel experience required (Yes)
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
- Additional Information:
- Expected to work in an acute hospital setting and support sterile processing for surgical services, including scope/probe reprocessing and high-level disinfection (HLD).
- Specialized experience/skills may include aseptic technique, biological indicators, automated endoscope reprocessors (AER), steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers.
- Tier 3 travel compliance documentation is due by Monday prior to start; submittals require listing the last four of SSN and specific scheduling/RTO requests upfront.
- Two references are required covering the last year (or six months for CNA s), collected within the last three years during the compliance process and prior to start.
