Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT) Madison, Wisconsin
The organization is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support Labor Delivery within an interdisciplinary care team. This role contributes professional/clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care for patients and may include floating within the same discipline across local campuses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Education/Training & Credentialing: National Surgical Tech Certification (e.g., NCCT, NBSTSA, etc.)
- Clinical/Experience Requirements: Previous obstetrics/gynecology experience; 3 years of Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Labor & Delivery experience (travel experience required)
- Systems Experience: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with Epic
- Location/Documentation Requirements: Drivers license required; work history/resume required; skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date; license verification required; copy of required certifications required; 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience specifically in obstetrics/gynecology and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Labor & Delivery
- Additional Information:
- CST is for Labor Delivery only
- Traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Weekend rotation: every other, including holiday rotation
- Summer holidays: required to work 12 of 3 (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
