Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (ORT) in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, including scrub responsibilities for specialties such as General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, and Endoscopy. Candidates are required to hold a Hawaii license and bring their license on the first day. The position offers rotating shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week, and a commitment of at least 39 shifts during the contract duration.
Job Details:
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Certifications and Qualifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; Hawaii license; minimum of 2 years of scrub experience in a hospital setting; previous travel experience preferred
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours minimum per week, with shifts potentially variable based on departmental needs
- Requirements: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday; candidate must complete a minimum of 39 shifts if RTO (requested time off) is requested
- Responsibilities include helping with turnover cleaning, transporting patients, and supporting surgical procedures within a busy and efficient operating room environment
