Job Summary:
The Anchorage-based healthcare facility is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (702) in the specialty of Operating Room Technology for a travel assignment. The position involves working in a busy surgical environment focusing on orthopedic procedures, including total joint arthroplasty and neuro surgeries, with a strong emphasis on Da Vinci Xi Robotic procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Address: 2801 Debarr Road, Anchorage, AK 99508
- Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), with a schedule of three shifts per week and a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 06/23/2026 (assignment length: 13 weeks, within three weeks of offer)
- Certifications and Education: NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. No minimum years of experience specified.
- Experience: Experience with Da Vinci Xi Robotic Spinal Fusion procedures, Orthopedics (including Total Joints Arthroplasty), neuro cases, and use of Xi Robots is required.
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- On call is required, typically about 5-6 shifts per 4 weeks, including weekends
- The unit features 11 operating rooms with various equipment, including OR beds and electronic medical records (Epic)
- Patient ratios are 1:1, with a team comprising RNs, scrub techs, and surgical support techs
- The ideal candidate will have a positive outlook and be willing to work collaboratively with team members
