Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Specialty) position is based in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves performing pediatric echocardiography studies with a focus on fetal and pediatric cardiac imaging. The position requires a patient-focused professional capable of managing a high volume of scans in a hospital setting, supporting the clinical team with accurate and timely imaging.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, Shift Hours: 8, Minimum Hours Per Week: 40
- Required Qualifications: Valid ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) verification, minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, from an accredited program, with a license to submit in the state of West Virginia.
- Preferred Qualifications: Fetal echo experience is highly preferred.
- Specific Responsibilities: Performing fetal and pediatric echocardiograms, working with inpatient imaging, and operating GE, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound equipment, specifically Philips EPIQ7.
- Department Equipment and Systems: Use of EPIC electronic medical record system and PACS for image storage and communication.
- Additional Information: The role involves involvement in acute clinical settings, requiring collaborative effort with the pediatric echo lead tech and adherence to departmental protocols. No IV starts are required. Orientation will be conducted via phone, email, or onsite as needed. Scrubs are not provided but may be worn from existing wardrobe.
- Travel and Submission Notes: Only one submission per candidate at a time within the WVU system. Candidates with prior employment or travel history must meet specified time gaps. References, clinical experience, and a clean history are essential for successful submission.
